Collectors are cast in-house at Akrapovič's own titanium foundry, and a bespoke Akrapovič control kit tailors the tone from a refined cruise to a full sporty character under load, with measured gains of 8.0 kW (10.9 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm at 5,000 rpm on the dyno. It's a genuine plug-and-play upgrade — no ECU remapping required — and it carries ECE type approval on OPF-equipped cars (also fits xDrive, CSL, M3 Touring (G81) and M4 (G83) Competition/Convertible models, though the CSL's type approval does not carry over).
